Alex Jones, a fiery radio talk show host based in Austin, Texas joined Howard Sternthis week to discuss a variety of topics including Second Amendment rights afforded in the U.S. Constitution.
In the interview with Howard Stern, which was conducted live in Stern’s New York City studio on Feb. 26, Alex Jones states that the Second Amendment is necessary because “all over the world throughout history the government has taken guns to oppress”.
Later in the interview Alex Jones states “if we deny tyranny is growing then it will take over”.
Mr. Jones also states he has “more than fifty guns” in his collection and that his favorite gun is a Barrett .50 caliber which he describes as “hand held artillery”. He explains that his gun collection “is a big part of my nest egg”.
The interview comes after Alex Jones’ angry appearance on the Piers Morgan show on CNN last month.
Mr. Jones was invited to appear on Piers Morgan’s show to discuss a recent petition touted by Mr. Jones to deport Mr. Morgan from the country.
Piers Morgan is a native of the United Kingdom and has been an outspoken critic of the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment.
During that interview which aired on January 7 of this year, Alex Jones became visibly upset and shouted “Hitler took the guns Stalin took the guns, Mao took the guns, Fidel Castro took the guns, Hugo Chavez took the guns, and I’m here to tell you, 1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms!“
In the interview with Howard Stern, Mr. Jones explains that he was already in a foul mood prior to the interview. He states that he had the flu and that the staffers at CNN were not friendly toward him. He states “I decided to give it to him with both barrels”.
Alex Jones is the host of a radio talk show that is syndicated to 60 FM and AM stations throughout the country. He lives in Austin with his family. He is known for his conspiracy theories and runs a website called “Info Wars” which highlights his theories.
Throughout the interview with Howard Stern, Mr. Jones discusses everything from abortion (which he refers to as medical tyranny), to his ongoing war with TV and radio personality Glenn Beck.
When discussing Glenn Beck, Alex Jones states “he is watching me 24 damn 7 and it is creepy”.
The Howard Stern Show can be heard via Sirius satellite radio every day and is one of the most popular radio shows in America.
The Alex Jones Show airs Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. central time on radio networks throughout the country.
